Learning Environment

Although I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and visit from time to time, I am not usually there, so tutoring sessions are online. I have a high quality document camera and require that students working with me:

1. set up their phone in such a way for it to be a document camera;
2. purchase a (used) document camera; or
3. use a stylus and tablet.

It is imperative that you:

1. have a way to show me exactly what you’re writing; and
2. be able to point to different parts of what you’re writing.

Although not a deal breaker, being able to see my students when we’re talking is certainly preferred; my camera will always be on.

Please do not be intimidated by these requirements. I am happy to work through alternative set-ups with determined students seeking my aid.
